ARCHITECTURAL VARIATIONS
Growing up surrounded by Brutalist and socialist architecture profoundly shaped the way I perceive space. Observing these buildings, I began to recognize their underlying geometric forms, stripping them of the elements that define their function and identity. Their simplicity and clarity became the starting point for an architectural experience based not on buildings themselves, but on a system of pure relationships between form, light and shadow.
In my process, I gradually remove windows, balconies, figures and other narrative details, reducing architectural forms to their essence. Buildings cease to function as recognizable objects and become abstract, almost minimalist structures. I construct each composition through three fundamental elements—background, light and shadow—whose relationships create rhythm, depth and spatial illusion. Architecture thus becomes a point of departure for exploring universal visual relationships rather than a subject of representation.
