LANDSCAPES OF THE SOUL

Landscapes of the Soul explores landscape as a reflection of inner states, memories and emotions. These imaginary scenes are not depictions of actual places, but visual metaphors for an inner world, where landscape becomes a carrier of personal experience and symbolic meaning.

The series was created in 2011, following the death of my father, painter Goran Gvardiol. During that period, painting became a space for processing loss, memory and a presence that continues beyond physical absence. Some of the works incorporate figures drawn from his paintings, creating traces of an artistic dialogue that continues through my own work.

Although rooted in a deeply personal experience, these paintings are not solely about loss. They explore the relationship between the individual and space, transience, memory and hope, inviting viewers to discover their own inner landscapes within them.
